Measurement

Measurement

So these anchor charts are a conglomeration of SEVERAL anchor charts I've seen and created myself. Once again, if you are NOT created these with your kids, you are missing out!
Here are my anchor charts to help us remember what each unit means/measures!

My kids have been practicing using different tools and objects. I even used simple cut out hearts and had the kid measure it in 2 different units and then tell why the numbers were different. Basically, this covers the common core standard about relativity of unit's size to quantity needed for the measurement. So, EVERYTHING is measurable in my room. So, we practice, compare, discuss, tweak, and repeat. So far, so good. Here is the measure from Valentine's Day!
Feel FREE to steal borrow use these ideas! They have worked well in my classroom!
